There are specific people at Novara which I trust to not stray too far, but then there are others who are blatently liberal. The problem arises when others don’t challenge those viewpoints and it’s allowed to fester. I used to follow Novara a lot more closely a few years ago, but the more firmly I embraced ML, the more issues I saw with what is published on there. I still view their videos from time to time depending on the topic, but I do agree that they fit on the right side of that meme.

0·3 months agoSadly with the state of the west at the moment a burka would do the same. Honestly so would most things that isn’t just random cishet white person following societal norms.
Anyways… I still prefer a keffiyeh, but if I actually want to not stand out I will wear subtle makeup, and dress as straight as I can. Blend in with the masses and all. Anything that doesn’t is going to always be a potential target of something.

0·3 months agoJust don a Keffiyeh wrapped in front of your face, problem solved. This works for all genders too.

0·3 months agoStill just working my way through State and Revolution. These days I can’t get more than a couple of pages done each day, so it’s taking some time despite me enjoying it when I am reading.

0·5 months agoThanks for sharing this. The stuff I have seen from this list so far has been insane to say the leaset. I wonder if at some point we will get a more organized list based on country/region. It’s all interconnected I know, but at the very least knowing which people in you country did certain things is helpful when talking to people locally.

0·8 months agoHonestly? Some of us were unfortunate enough to be born in the core (though I’m from what If consider a vassal state), so the hoping for and working towards a mass movement is the best we can do. Even if it’s unrealistic, we have to work towards something. The alternative is to succumb to defeatism, and just wait for the inevitable fall. So we work towards a better tomorrow, because the alternative isn’t viable.
At least that’s how I see it, and I’m mostly using your post to try and figure out my own stance on this. So take my blurb for what it is, a nonsensical flow of thoughts.

The main issue I see with Motorola as compared to Google is how long they support their devices. Graphene supports the device as long as the manufacturer does. With modern Pixel phones that means 7 years, while Motorola currently does 3-4 years of updates. There is also the fact that only flagship devices seem to be the focus for GrapheneXMotorola at the moment, so initial purchase price will be high. Generally the best choice is a used Pixel device if you don’t want to directly support Google in any way.
Don’t get me wrong, I am eagerly awaiting the release of these phones. My wife needs a new device soon so it’s either going to be Motorola or Pixel. Lineage is another option, but certain things only work well with sandboxed Play services, so at least for me Graphene is the only real option (I can run all bank apps that I have without any issues on Graphene).
