    I wonder if a way to solve this supply chain and scalper issue is if you just have a a deposit reservation system a few months before release

    That way if they know 100,000k units already have a deposit, they know they can produce more than 100,000k units.

    And probably a lot of those will be scalpers, so if 50,000k are scalpers buying a bunch all of a sudden there will be a glut of scalpers selling a bunch at the same time and competing and then likely not able to offload at a premium.
