“You know, we’ll be tormented by it for a long time – I will be,” Tucker Carlson said. “And I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. It was not intentional, that’s all I’ll say.”

Though Carlson in 1999 had referred to Trump as “the single most repulsive person on the planet”, he beat most pundits in calling for Trump to be taken seriously before he won his first presidency in 2016.

Trump recently published a social media post calling Carlson “a Low IQ person – Always easy to beat, and highly overrated!!!”

FFS now I agree with Trump ?

In a few months, these people will have always been against Trump, and they’ll hate us when we call them on it, because despite everything they’ve done so far, they still think they’re better off than with a Democrat in charge.

Tucker Carlson doesn’t disagree with anything Trump has done, he’s just smart enough to tell when to jump ship. This is a strategic move

Eh, we have leaked emails from Fox news where Tucker did say he hated Trump and thought he was an idiot during the first admin, not that it stopped him from gargling his balls.

Yeah exactly, because Trump lacks any strategy. Just look how little manufacturing consent went into the Iran war compared to the Iraq war. Trump is so idiotic he says the quiet part out loud because He’s too stupid to understand the point of dog whistles. Carlson wants a competent White Nationalist administration, his issue is with the incompetency.

But even so, whenever in public view, Carlson is very very deliberate and strategic with how he communicates white nationalism sentiments to his audience. He knows exactly the right way to broach topics, which words to hit, ect, in order to get the audience (be it MAGA or Liberals) on his side.

“I would have voted for Jim Webb” is a thing I’ve heard conservative asshats tell me on a regular basis.

No raindrop is. The flood is a consequence of the land’s ability to drain water relative to the size of the deluge. Blaming individual raindrops is foolish.

Maybe he’s doing a metaphor too? I keep trying to piece it together: “so like the landscape, yeah, is like america, right? No wait, is it democracy? Hmm… Is this guy just talking about actual stormwater mitigation?”

It honestly is funny to me either way, because it reads like he’s being straight faced talking a out stormwater mitigation.

But I do think it’s intended to point out a lot of the morons that voted for trump did so for some real reasons, very misguided (and intentionally so by the right wing news apparatus) but real reasons.

The first step in healing is recognizing you even have a wound i guess, but next is cleaning out the wound. Americans have typically just skipped this step in the past and gone straight to believing that recognition was the healing.

In case of Tucker, unless he’s ready to dump previously unknown information on his (former) cohorts, I don’t think he can be forgiven. He’s not some small figure, a leftist content creator that did a few mistakes in his career, or a former edgy teen obsessed with “funny slurs”, he is a very well known right-wing talking head.

He’s not trying to pivot, which so many people in this thread are misunderstanding.

The problem with Trump is that he is bowing to Israel, and Tucker is a full Nazi now. This is patently clear if you listen to him. As someone who’s followed Nazi forums for like two decades now, he is speaking Nazi on his show. He is running down all of the absolutely classic Holocaust denier bits.

Tucker Carlson draws scorn for new details over demonic attack: ‘I’m not embarrassed’
Carlson confirmed to The Christian Post on Halloween last year that he believes he was “physically mauled” by an unseen force while he was sleeping on Feb. 20, 2023.

“Ephesians 6 is real,” Carlson told CP at the time, referencing the chapter in the New Testament that teaches mankind is engaged in warfare “against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

what if this is how they explain trump over the next 10 years (barring complete take over) - demonic attack (bonus points if they work AI into the narrative).

Sounds crazy when my brain is framed as it was five years ago, but sounds disgustingly plausible in 2026.

He was just sticking up for trump last week. I think it was over Iran. This is temporary and for the left to have something to be distracted from. Trump is in the low 30s in approval, that’s covid bad.
