I love that the meme basically has double meaning if you know what is about to happen in the scene the image is from vs if you don’t.

    spoiler

That car in the background is about to run into him hard, flinging his milk and cereal all over his car. Basically, he is about to get fucked up.

I use the apostrophe whenever I’m too lazy to type the proper letter. Like:

        ‘’‘’’ ‘’‘’’ ‘’‘’ ‘’’ ‘’

        ‘’‘’’ ‘’‘’’ ‘’’ ‘’’ ‘’‘’

        ‘’‘’’ ‘’‘’’ ‘’’ ‘’‘’‘’ ‘’’ ‘’‘’‘’ ‘’’

In some languages you use an apostrophe for pluralization in some cases. But even that doesn’t make sense for the one in the OP.

A lot of people aren’t native speakers and also this is an easy error to make even for native speakers.

i’ve heard native speakers are actually more prone to misusing apostrophes because they learned the sounds before writing, while non natives learn both at the same time

It’s not a mistake native speakers would make unintentionally but I absolutely understand the ESL problems and, full disclosure, still have to remind myself about the rules for possessives.

It looks wrong and the system is wrong I will not apologize for or be bound by the failures of dead dudes
