Insane shit

Comparing those images and videos to the Sydney anti-genocide rally I highly doubt 350K people are there.
The street is around 20m wide and it looks like the protest is covering about 4 or 5 blocks (1000-1250m) and the people aren’t packed together so its probably less than 1 person per square meter.
Seems like a gross overestimate

Nevertheless, the footage shows a fairly large and well organized demonstration. There’s clearly a lot of money being funnelled into this regime change op.
I am not surprised that the people who hate the government of their former country are in Western countries that support the rebellion. It should be onbvious that Western politicians smuggle fake refugees into their country so that they can use the political activism of those fake refugees to spread false information and gain support to replace accountable lawful democratic governments with corrupted governments in other countries.
son

Toronto police originally estimated more than 200,000 people would gather at the solidarity rally, which is marching down Yonge Street Saturday.
In a statement to CBC Toronto Saturday evening, Toronto police said the Global Day of Action Rally in Toronto saw crowds estimated at 350,000.
Toronto police spokesperson Viktor Sarudi said the estimate of 200,000 people came in part from discussions with organizers.
I don’t trust the cops on the numbers. Especially since the original estimate “came in part from discussions with organizers”, and given what kind of “protest” this is, that probably means the cops were part of organizing it, not just tapped for approval.
i hate being tech illiterate
also near every single image for me on lemmygrad has been showing up as the broken link img. hmmmm
thats not your fault. the image server is in a state of flux.
Recently had my first proper discussion about Marxism-Leninism with a colleague. I have realised I need a well thought out plan, as my mind was full of responses but no structure to properly create a correct introductory discourse.
Any advice on how to slowly introduce someone without immediately scaring them off? Fighting against years of anti-communist and anti-china/dprk propaganda makes it harder than expected
Just listen to them about their general complaints about capitalism and then show them the actually existing benefits that socialism can bring them. Radicalization doesn’t come from arguments about Stalin, it comes from just showing them that their complaints and frustrations are valid and are an issue with their economic system, and that a superior alternative has, indeed existed. A great communist is a great listener, of course.
A great communist is a great listener
That’s a nice way to put it, and it’s very true. Thanks for the response comrade. I can see the benefits of this approach. Eventually we’ll find common ground on the current issues and problems of society, and showing how they all are in fact direct symptomps of capitalism instead of “coincidences” would definitely have a greater effect. I’ll get my hands on all our sources and get ready for a new occasion.
Like dudithebudi said listen to them and respond. Think of it like improv, they say a subject, (any subject) and you say “yes, and… its capitalism’s fault” (some people might respond better to the ruling class, the billionaires, big corporations, etc) Nearly every problem comes back to capitalism, even the weather.
Once you have established that the problem is capitalism you say “and under communism that problem wont happen.” and as they scoff and say “but communism never works” (or whatever other slander they have against communism) you say “Who told you that? Capitalists. bit of a conflict of interest there hey?” “capitalists have a monopoly on education, media, art, and culture, and they use that control to demonize their only legitimate rival.” Then send them to Yellow Parenti.
Yellow Parenti jumpscare. Thanks for the response comrade. They seem to be open to dialogue so I’ll try again with this approach. I think the recent events (Epstein, Cuba etc.) have already “softened” the general population to the idea that maybe capitalism isn’t really all that great, so that might give a good starting point.

goofy thought: u know all these bourgeoisie pedophile scum didnt stop after epstein got caught, who do yall think is the new epstein? my money’s on thiel
It wont be one of the billionaires. Epstien was not born into that world he shoe horned himself in. Also there are dozens of fixers like him even if he was the best connected one. He was the coca cola of his industry and since he departed the market other cola brands have been working to fill the void.
you’re probably right. i just picked thiel cause he’s really weird and also has his finger everywhere in a lot of weird places
Probably some nobody.
How many of you knew who Epstein was before he supposedly killed himself?
The right wingers cumming in their pants over the new Japanese PM not knowing she’s going to go ahead with a mass immigrant acceptance plan is hilarious
🫵 You WILL have hope, comrade.
Ugh fine 🙄

Hello Comrades. I felt a bit down while reading Socialism Betrayed and got an idea for a painting. It’s called “Andropov’s Burial”. I thought maybe some of you would like it.
Remember, comrades, history is on our side!
Am I the only one for whom the image isn’t rendering?
This has been going on for several hours now. It was an awkward moment when I was trying to show images from this site to somebody else through Zoom.
when I was trying to show images from this site to somebody else through Zoom.
why the hell are you using zoom
Because I would rather talk to my friend through Zoom than a Google service or product.
i wonder how that youtuber bayarea smt is doing, hope he doing well.
We need more China glazers on YT, the ultras and redlibs are too loud these days
Some of the “China glazers” these days are radlibs. Liking China is becoming more and more mainstream. Ultimately that is a good thing though, because it shows that China’s achievements are becoming impossible to avoid or deny. So all sorts of libs are jumping on the bandwagon now. That’s fine. Once again “tankies” were right way before everyone else. We were on China’s side long before it became popular.
Have a good week, everyone! Stay safe, keep up with your habits.
As always, communism will win.
A while back I participated in DBT (dialectical behavior therapy). I’ve been wanting to tackle my anger with thinking about or talking about politics. I couldn’t sleep as I was getting angry in my head over make believe scenarios lashing at liberals for all of the insane, fascistic shit they spew. Then in person, I get so blindly angry I just want to scream. The “this is not who we are” schtick from liberals boils my blood, I’m about to strangle someone. I tried all of the therapy techniques and none of them worked.
I feel that this anger is turning me into a reactionary. The only way I can throw water on it is to not participate in politics at all.
There is nothing Reactionary about feeling rage towards hypocritical liberals. Giving into your anger is not a good tactic, especially not at this point in time so you should learn to channel that rage into something useful. Maybe practice some meditation to teach you to control your rage and learn to channel it into motivation for strength building exercises. When the time comes having access to controlled rage will be a good thing.
May help to see if you can channel the energy into clerical organizing work in an org; the kind of work where you don’t have to talk to people a lot, especially liberals. Not everybody has to be a big talker, especially in the capacity of tolerating people who are way different politically.
