    @stefan@stefanbohacek.online

    About fuckin’ time.

    The UN Regulations, used everywhere in the world except the US* regulatory island, have had increasingly-stringent pedestrian-protection requirements for years.

    NHTSA claim the proposed US rule is estra-stringent, but they also insist, pull the string and listen to 'em go, with zero basis in reality, that US-spec vehicles are the safest in the world.

    *Canada is handcuffed, by industry insistence, to the US rules.

    @stefan@stefanbohacek.online A huge first step, but it might be years before this finds its way to the assembly line, as auto manufacturers will not only need to redesign, but retool for the manufacturing process. This would also be the case for suppliers.

        @stefan@stefanbohacek.online so you quoted something that you yourself can’t verify

        I understand that most people consider this std practice, but I find it odd, but then again look at my screen name

          @failedLyndonLaRouchite@mas.to Briefly unblocking you to say, there are ways to correct people without being rude. Something to perhaps work on. Wish you all the best.
