    TL;DR: it’s not all Garry’s Mod content, just content made using Nintendo IP. Everything from just straight-up adding Nintendo characters to other games (apparently including a lot of Animal Crossing characters) to levels or parts of levels being brought from Nintendo’s games into other games.

    fuck nintendo but i’ve read something that there are trolls that behaves like nintendo’s lawyers and they take down the content

        What’s next? Monitoring middle schoolers and confiscating zelda drawings? These renditions are fan made, not for profit, and only borrow likeness. Robot Chicken has less desirable situations for use and actually makes money from it.

          @ppb1701 @thegamerwebsite @steam In fairness, Nintendo has been consistent with this kind of thing. It takes them a while before they raise the DRM flag, but they always get to it in the end. That said, @BeAware’s point is correct. There needs to be a mechanism to protect legacy content because this is happening a lot these days, for various reasons. Maybe there’s a way to open up old, rusting IPs before tech advances bury them?
