Oh, you want humility. I see. Mmmhmmm.
I still feel, that even if folks choose to be famous, and managed to secure wealth, they still deserve decency as a human. But I do comprehend infamy can easily flip. It is after all, a parasocial relationship. Please treat them with respect, even if you believe they don’t deserve to be haughty.
    Something like:

And here is my tip to the beggar in the street seeking shelter from the radiance of these entitled assholes.

Loudly so the restaurant can hear you, and get a solidarity chuckle from servers. I sure would if I was dealing with both of you.

I hope this is a joke😅. I came to respond the exact opposite, because this is actually a good etiquette Beetlemooses came to present: anyone can be famous these days, it only takes one viral tiktok. But if they didn’t setup a meet-and-greet booth, leave them to their businesses.
I came here to congratulate both Beetlemooses & @the_picard_maneuver@lemmy.world for demonstrating a very important etiquette rule folks should be aware, but let the infamy override the ethos: Just like you may not like to be bothered or interrupted while carrying your business, please leave them to theirs until they allow you the time and place to do so.
I know I didn’t choose to be famous irl, so please respect my boundaries in public please🙏. When you do come to my art booth, I will welcome your envy, and share our struggles of the art world🥲.

  • Do you call authoritarianism a way of life or a lifestyle?

Anarchism proclaims choice a maxim. Free to live under no hierarchies, free to choose to style one’s life. Others need nonsubscribe. In authoritarian dictī, there are no choice than accept the oppressors’ demands. The way of life is crippled, the style subservient.

What other ways of living do you object?
