cool! I love my 2019 intel macbook pro. Can’t imagine what an Apple silicon one would feel when looking at the numbers, I mean, mine never felt slow, and I attribute any hiccups to software bugs, not the processor.

Merry iMacs

By my own experience, and yours, a Mac can last 10 years. But yes, sadly, money is the limiting factor. I would get the latest and greatest I could afford, but me being me, I’d prefer a mac mini, or studio, and not whatever was just released.

I bet all you want could be features of a yet to be seen “iMac Pro”, but that would cost more. If you buy a new iMac, you’re not a sucker, you just want an expensive thing.

Personally, I wouldn’t buy a just released model, but that’s me. I would be more than happy with a previous model M1 Mac.

Think about any M1 Mac. You will not believe the performance difference, I’m sure. About the RAM, you’ll need less with a modern computer equipped with an SSD.

Please understand that I’m not complaining.I am upset with myself because I can’t understand how this whole fediverse thing works… or doesn’t work

ANYWAY. FINALLY, the thing is. I thought I wasn’t going to need to make more accounts in more websites. I don’t want to do that.

I HAVE been able to join other lemmy places, so there are limits, it seems.Lemmy sites can interact with other sites, but not “fediverse sites” that are not lemmy…? sigh my head hurts.

I bookmarked those accounts I’m interested in. I guess I’ll manually go check them out from time to time, if I remember to.
