Hes essentially retired internationally since the WC qualifier loss. Think hes sat on thr bench a few times but no minutes.
He’s always played for Italy, both junior and senior level. He got capoed over a decade ago now. Also feels way longer because hes been a 1st team regular since he was 17/18. Sterling is the English version, dudes been around for ages and is only 28.
Agreed. Ive been living with this being Australian since the magical 06 WC. Though our population is 10x bigger, football has only recently started to compete with Australian Football amd Cricket for youth participation.
Our last WC was better but we also had some luck. That 06 team would slap our current side.
