i am unsure if this will succeed in uk market: gasoline price is high ($7.113/gallon) but electricity price is high as well ($0.481/kwh). if yaris cross hybrid in uk gets 50 mpg, then I don’t think there is a lot of gas savings here. and it will probably cost £7K more to begin with. will be difficult to sell. we will see.

this is underrated comment. A lot of times I read something like bmw, Kia, non-Toyota has engine failure at 70kmiles . When comparing reliability to ICE/hybrid: Toyota should be the benchmark. Time will tell; but I think a Toyota Corolla, Hilux, etc… will outlast most EV .

2017 prius prime: 68k miles. oil change x 6 (once a year), cabin air filter x 4 (DIY), Engine air filter x 2 (DIY). purchased new set of tires at 30K miles: still on this set.
