Just to set your expectations, it will be annoying and weird and limited for at least months, maybe forever. If you’re not looking for another programming hobby then emacs is probably not for you.

emacs is not going to be a good fit for that style of work, unfortunately

why don’t you just try it and see if you personally like it for your personal tasks and requirements
