I agree with you that the linux crowd is delusional about this matter, but fwiw I have seen an increase in non-tech people switching to Zorin or Mint in my circles in the past 2 years. I doubt there’s gonna be a widespread migration in the near future, but with Linux finally getting more gui-friendly and less terminal-dependant, I think there’s gonna be a fair increase eventually.
Grouping guns with the other things is silly false equivalence. A gun can be set off easily and accidentally, and it almost always results in instant severe injuries to either the toddler or their surroundings. Knife/ladder/heatstroke injuries are all things that either take time or deliberate effort. Not only can they be caught before something bad happens, they are many degrees less severe than guns. You’ll find carelessness or malice in any area/activity/weapon, but guns provide instant access to put those into action.

NRA keeps saying that guns aren’t the issue, but video games & movies are. They lobbied against federal research efforts against gun violence studies in the 90s (and continue to do so), and even accused the CDC of “anti-gun bias”. Most of their advocacy is built on shifting the blame from guns onto anything else.

This game is by Hypergryph, the studio that made Arknights, which is apparently a fun rpg. idk much about it.
It has been quite fun. It’s got a cute art style & animations, fun mechanics, and intersting puzzles. Doesn’t feel repetitive.
Overall, recommend trying it out. This game is similar to Split Fiction & It Takes Two, surprisingly being better than them in some of the puzzles.
I mean, yeah, leaving is always an option - but I would rather prefer exploration of the possibility of a better solution. Not to mention, there doesn’t seem to be an option for moving your account from one instance to another. I would like to keep my comment and post history if I ever do move instances.
Besides, leaving might not be the ideal solution, as blocked instances seem to block back, and many instances have a “follow our blocklist, or we will block you” rule from what I have been reading.

Been vegetarian all my life.
I consider veganism to be the most ethical ideology with the current factory farm infrastructure, but I don’t agree with it’s extreme principles in a world with ethical farming practices. I would continue being a vegetarian if we could do things ethically - free range, and without exploitation.
I haven’t had any struggle at all in my country- it’s awesome. I’ve always been surprised with the dismissiveness and outright hostility towards vegan peeps in the western part of the world, it makes me sympathise a lot. Over in my country, Vegetarianism is completely normal and people are very respectful of vegetarian and vegan lifestyles - part of it is due to these lifestyles originate due to religion here.
Been playing Downwell on phone to fill in gaps between work/commute recently. It’s quite fun. I struggled a little bc it was much faster than a similar game like Tower Fortress, but now managed to get used to it somewhat.
