I own the s6 lite, however, my opinion might be a little biased. The reason I got the S6 Lite was due to a Samsung deal, where if bought the Galaxy Book 3 360 Pro, I’d also get a Tab S6 Lite for the addition of 50 dollars. My main motivator for purchasing it was to sell it for 200 dollars, but I decided to keep it. And I gotta be honest, if you just want to write in Samsung notes, it does well (at least for me). It is slow, but if the primary use is note-taking, I don’t think you will be disappointed. The screen quality IS NOT GOOD, so if you plan to consume any type of video type media, it will be sub par at best… the choice is yours, but if it’s really for note taking, i doubt you’ll be disappointed.
