Yeah the mini splits are smart and I had it setup to shut down at 25*. I turned that off temporarily as the other day it dropped more than expected overnight and I didn’t have heat on for a while. No big deal in this instance as I just clicked on the furnace when I woke up… but that is the impetus of this whole thing. When these instances happen, I’d prefer if my gas furnace just fired up without me having to do anything.
I have had smart tech off and on in the house, the Amazon and Google/Nest ecosystems. Mostly on lights, locks, leak sensors, and thermostat… over time I’ve ripped out most everything except a couple lights, leak sensor, and door locks.
