If I were in your shoes i’d ask for a refund on that tune XD

Adding power is done by upping boost, which puts more stress on everything. This is an SUV, not a race car, is it worth risking your expensive turbo and clutch ?

Not to mention the tune will be erased if the car is ever updated by audi, which it will during maintenance.

First, what does “fully restored” cover ?

Engine rebuild by a known professionnal ? Or quick rattle can spray here and there ?

Those cars are not good daily drivers. They are 2 seaters without a trunk. The engine just overheats whatever you do. They arent really good cars either. Good luck finding parts, too. The PAS pump that always break ? Well, it was 300 new. And you cant find one anywhere.

Heck even toyota knew it, thats litterally in the car name. They had to change it here XD (mr2 is pronounced “shit” in France, so it was renamed MRS ).

Honestly though, they are nice looking and handle quite well, but thats it. 2 seaters, no trunk, thats not a good daily.

The engine block and head are basically tractor engines, and all internals are way too strong for the stock power output. The gearbox (on the GTE) is pretty strong too.

Which means you dont really have to open the engine to double its power. Bigger turbo, intercooler, injector set, remap, enjoy 600HP reliably. Some go up to 800 with stock internals but thats pushing it.

Fully built, and ran with race fuel (methanol / nitromethane), you can expect 2000HP.
