You’ll notice he only starts freewheeling on the last word or two of a sentence or paragraph. That’s all he’s heard.
postman@literature.cafeto politics @lemmy.world•Trump pleads ignorance after using antisemitic slur4·3 days agoI think I first heard this from an article by Tony Schwartz who wrote The Art of the Deal. He mentioned seeing the speeches book by Trump’s bed during one of their brief meetings about Trump’s book, which Trump took no part in.

It’s not quite as good as Spotify when it comes to catalogue or community playlists. Other than that, I haven’t seen any AI slop or ghost musicians, and the suggestions are very human. I believe they pay about 4x royalties that Spotify does.

I bought the Titan but returned it for being so underpowered in comparison. Is the Titan Slim2 going to improve on that?

-
Customer buys something, has neutral opinion.
-
Product has a problem, customer has negative opinion.
-
Company resolves problem well, customer now has positive opinion.
That’s a very important lesson for organisations to learn. A customer complaint is a golden advertising opportunity.

postman@literature.cafeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is a classical (Greek) rhetoric tip you know?5·9 days agoBalancing ethos, pathos, and logos is still the bedrock of political speeches, marketing campaigns, and courtroom arguments.
Also, beware the Sophists who argue well regardless of the truth.

But I guess because he has tattoos, that’s unfair?
Now, he says standards are falling so he’s kicking people out because of beards.
postman@literature.cafeto Technology@lemmy.world•We need to stop pretending AI is intelligentEnglish69·10 days agoSo many confident takes on AI by people who’ve never opened a book on the nature of sentience, free will, intelligence, philosophy of mind, brain vs mind, etc.
There are hundreds of serious volumes on these, not to mention the plethora of casual pop science books with some of these basic thought experiments and hypotheses.
Seems like more and more incredibly shallow articles on AI are appearing every day, which is to be expected with the rapid decline of professional journalism.
It’s a bit jarring and frankly offensive to be lectured ‘at’ by people who are obviously on the first step of their journey into this space.
