• The red was correct. Intention doesn’t matter. No, this doesn’t happen “all the time” • Two similar hands penalties called, one for each side • That “elbow” against Hojlund was in no way a red. It’s a standard foul and that’s it. • Onana had a clear view of the ball, so no offside. Doesn’t matter that the player blocked Onana’s view before, because offside is decided when the shot is made
It also doesn’t matter how some situations are treated in the Premier League, because PL isn’t the same as European competitions.
I haven’t seen the Bayern vs Dortmund game apart from some highlights, so I can’t comment on that. Vs Galatasaray, Kimmich was vital in getting out of the high press though and did a very good job.
That advanced press of Galatasaray also meant open space in the middle of the pitch and Bayern going at 5 or 6 players with the ball once they got out of the initial press, which they most often did.
Ultimately, I think such charts should always be evaluated with the defensive concept of the opponent in mind.
