1 year agoIf you plan to keep it a while (until you realize down the road you’d need something bigger), you cannot go wrong with a Corolla. I’ve had mine since I bought it new, it has 151,000+ miles on it, and aside from a few hiccups, it’s been rock solid for me.
The Corolla sedan is still a perfect first car. I can’t see Toyota going away with the Corolla anytime soon.
They’ve since added the Corolla Cross to the list. I’ve heard mixed reactions on that, have started seeing more of them on the road now than six months ago, and in my mind needs one major thing to really make it more competitive - it needs to grow in length and maybe an inch or two in width. I have some room in the back seat of my Corolla, and earlier this year I checked out the Cross; I barely had room in the back seat. The Cross being three inches shorter in length is really noticeable inside; compare it with the 2024 Chevrolet Trax, there is almost enough leg room in the back seat area of the new Trax that it’s almost like sitting in a RAV4.
