I work in GIS and based on some exploration, it seems that zoom level shows only roads tagged as freeways.

So in this case it literally is just a straight up win over US infrastructure.

Thinking back on it, it completely makes sense. For a second I thought this could be the start of the US going the Ukraine route with Israel, but it’s far too big of an investment for them to just set aside. This is definitely an attempt to keep this genocidal ideology going with a fresh paint job
