In a way they’d be right, but not the one they want

Ah, I haven’t been to Atlanta yet this year so I didn’t know that. Good riddance
Right, that’s what it was. So possibly an anxiety disorder instead of PTSD. Which is probably more in line with the body dysmorphia or eating disorder than PTSD would be

If you’re not from this part of the region there’s 2 things you should know. The traffic corridor it’s on has really high traffic as it’s one of the primary ways between major metropolitan areas in the region and that flag is fucking HUGE. It’s basically impossible to miss, it’s genuinely one of the largest flags I’ve ever seen in my life. So to call it a prominent feature is an understatement and it absolutely should be taken down

He’s on LinkedIn, it’s probably free so he can convince the AI daddies to notice him
Terry in the show probably has some body dysmorphia/eating disorders. He’s been shown to have difficulty controlling his food intake with the nibs, the weird dieting with Gina and Amy and he’s also used the gym to avoid his problems. Plus he had some PTSD in the early seasons (I think from shooting an innocent person? I don’t remember exactly why) which is why he wasn’t in the field for the first few seasons. Also I think technically his rank is lieutenant so I’m not sure he’s technically a detective

Gee, it’s almost like we were told the story about the boy who cried wolf as kids for a reason. The dude lies about everything, so we’re not sure if he’s lying about this

The Magic:the Gathering community is constantly bickering about what cards to be banned/unbanned. A lot of modern (modern as in the format, not present day) players agree a card from Titan needs to go but they disagree over which. Personally I think Amulet of Vigor needs to go. If you do that then energy probably needs a ban and I think goblin bombardment would make them weaker against removal and board wipes, though Phlage, Titan of Fire’s Fury is also a good option because it’s egregious with Arena of Glory

My brother in Christ. We can’t get the government to enforce Anti-trust laws, prosecute pedophiles running the government, and you can buy presidential pardons. Do you think they’re going to go after online AI resellers?

Yeah dude, I’m a Scrum Master. I’ve seen the memes

Correct
The most obnoxious Chekov’s Gun I’ve seen recently was in Good Fortune. It was a literal gun and it was so obvious what they were doing with it

Neuromancer is great and has a similar tech level, though it’s more abstract and a little harder to follow. Ready Player One is also in that vein but not as good as Snow Crash. The video game Cyberpunk 2077 was heavily influenced by Snow Crash and it’s sister anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is excellent. You don’t have to play or know anything about the game to watch the show

There’s a sweet spot in the corporate ladder. People at the bottom get the daily grunt work stuff that’s time consuming and repetitive. People at the top end up with competing responsibilities so they spending most of their time in meetings about other meetings and arguing about planning to make decisions. It’s right in the middle where you blend into the background and can spend half your work day in your underwear playing video games. And that’s exactly where I like to live
One of these is the monkey pet of a pirate leader and the other is an eldritch monster stronger than gods that consumes entire realities for no apparent reason. One of them people wanted banned for being too good, the other is entirely unplayable:

Can you guess which is which?

I have, I like Mogworld so I’ll have to add Jam to the list
I was excited for good was finally available as an ebook because I don’t really like audio books but it looks like I’ll have to borrow a friend’s kindle to read it because I can’t figure out how to load it onto my kobo
It’s good to know he keeps the quality up!
Idk seems kinda gay to me

Just finished:
All You Need is Kill - Of the 2 movies and this, this has by far the most compelling ending. I don’t really like how the time loop thing is handled but the mechanics aren’t the most important to the story
Will Destroy the Galaxy for Cash - I love this series. If you’re looking for a modern day Douglas Adams this is pretty close
In progress:
Diaspora by Greg Eden - Woof, this starts dense and I don’t have the impression it’s going to get easier. I’m curious how challenging it will get. Still, it’s a fun start for the story
I mean, if you’re in the bespoke furniture market this isn’t insane. There’s a reason IKEA is so popular
