I don’t get a ton of satisfaction or have patience learning rules of complex games anymore. I decided to embrace games that have tough choices but with super simple mechanics instead.
Games like Scout, The Crew, Wingspan…easy to teach and fun to master.
Random list but I am told I am a unpaid ambassador for:
I used to have the “Apple for hardware , google for software” mentality. I’d use google mail, calendar, maps, drive, chrome…on my apple products.
But recently I’ve noticed myself slowly migrate to Apple. I have Apple One family (not premier ) which is worth it IMO.
Apple Maps feels less invasive than Google maps and they’ve upped their game recently.
Safari has become my default browser with Ecosia as the default search engine. Love that Safari shares tabs across devices.
I still have Google mail and calendar installed though. I prefer the UI.
The copy paste ability across devices is something I use daily too.
Same! Only reason I still use it is for Community events, and neighbour groups. Super useful for that. Wish there was a way to do that without being peppered by ads and reels.
Marketplace is a Kijiji replica so it could die with little consequence IMO.
Similar but different : tea! You go from cheap bagged tea to going down the rabbit hole of loose leaf variations, temp control kettles, brewing vessels and brewing styles.
