If it doesn’t support a feature equivalent to uBlock Origin, I can’t consider it to be a major browser. As someone pointed out, the reality is that the interweb becomes practically unusable without it. I dumped Firefox years ago for Brave and it was such a major improvement.

Pretty sure brave browser still supports uBlock Origin.

Worth noting, it’s the second premier from their NEW cd ‘Cursum Perficio’ (expected release date 9/18/26).

I felt compelled to make a second post. I’ve now played a few games and keep finding it to be very enjoyable. This is not without meaning considering I truly am not a big gamer. The author put a lot of thought into the game itself. That’s what I am enjoying about it. The discovery of their deep dynamics and not being bogged down by a cumbersome and time consuming system.

As I just pick up and put down, the save isn’t a problem. I’m usually dead by level 3 anyways. It is not forgiving.

Very impressive game to me at least. The games content is pretty unique. A lot of options that real life would afford you, yet other games omit (kicking objects at enemies, picking up stones). They would come up with a good idea and refuse to stop there, expounding on the idea with sub options. Sure, you can drink from that fountain to heal… but…

Very cool.

I had some extra time today, and a need to zone out for a bit. Played a few quick games. Could tell pretty quickly it was a game that someone cared about.

Will probably play more if I can. Thanks for the heads up about the saves. Would have been very frustrating to find that out later.

That’s what I thought too.

I thought it an allusion to a bible verse, specifically a verse that foretells of the earth being left in the care of the meek after the aggressive are destroyed. Those who patiently follow gods plan will remain to inherit the world.

It is a happy thought. It’s a mantra that (I’m betting) appears in just about all religious writings over many centuries, and then once again in ‘Revenge Of The Nerds 2’. A pretty common place to end up in your thoughts after a tough go at life. I’d bet most of us here have at one time or another extended ourselves to do the right thing, at great loss, and was still left holding someone else’s bag of garbage as your reward. It’s likely a bit of a defense mechanism so that you don’t go and jamb an ice pick into their nostril.

The actual audio kind of sounded a bit like ‘The Funkyverse’ to me, but it’s not a genre I log a lot of miles in, and they likely sample their stuff too. All the samplers seem to sample off of each other, I dunno how to keep it straight.

I spoke with a (very inebriated) friend who got the same storm a bit earlier than us, and he heard it too. He said numerous neighbors were outside thinking it to be a plane circling the area. Although his description of the science was pretty terrible, he’ll chase storms for lightning photos occasionally and it was something known to him. I was able to use his poor description to find a well worded scientific description by an actual meteorologist here. I spoke with another friend who got a sibling of my storm a few hours later. He heard it as well, but it’s apparently not all that rare in his area.

I’m 50 years old, and it’s the first time I have ever noticed it. It was really odd. Our standard thunder claps once then devolves into silence after 10s max before more is created again a minute later. If you’ve ever heard a US C-130 cargo plane (or large equivalent) running maneuvers real low to the ground, it sounded like that close engine noise, but almost frozen in it’s location as though it were capable of hovering. Just a constant low frequency rumble for over a half of an hour. It was loud like active thunder without any break at all.

Knowing it’s a real science thing makes it much less unnerving. Yeah. Much, much, MUCH less unnerving.

I wonder what would happen to a person if they were to install software onto LG’s computers without their consent.

Update: Apparently, it’s called ‘Continuous Thunder’ or ‘Rolling Thunder’, nor am I the only one to notice it with these cells. First time experiencing it. Was very odd.

There exists a fantastic German metalcore band called “We Butter The Bread With Butter”, a name I always found to be funny. You don’t have to know anything about them except that they are awesome.

They are so good that have several tribute bands. One of them is from their home town and they are called “I Can’t Believe It’s Not We Butter The Bread With Butter”. I always found that to be absurdly hilarious.

My point is, it’s 2026 and the Germans are finally developing a sense of humor. I for one think that’s better.

Al Lowe had originally planned to make part 4 as a massive multiplayer online game, but there were too many technical complications. Additionally, Al had writers block. So he skipped to part 5 saying it additionally afforded him a new start to get out from his writers block. He was supposed to get back to it one day, but never did.

I own all of the others. Part 3 (Passionate Patti In Pursuit Of The Pulsating Pectorals) is the best and the original Part 1 is runner up. All I ever wanted was a Part 4 though.
