That implies that you can’t have any rights unless the government says you can have them.

Flippanarchy@lemmy.dbzer0.com•[Discussion] What made you become an anarchist?
51·2 天前People always gave me a funny look when I said I didn’t trust any politician, left, centre or right. Struggled with authority, especially if I knew the instructions were incorrect, but people kept saying ‘just do it anyway’. Read some Colin Ward and realised I was an anarchist all along.
No social security or support for old people, you say?
“I can’t believe that the government is so incompetent that we now have to pay insane prices for oil”
cut to the goverment and the oil companies having an orgy together
That’s a comparison, not an analogy. You need to work on your grasp of nouns, champ.
You’re comparing one of the largest right-wing political movements in reddit history to a greentext post on lemmy. You can downvote me as much as you like but for your own mental health, please go outside.
Lmao, imaging only now discovering how jokes work.
yo, did the fucking sense of humour of reddit get exported with this comment or why are u all acting like the comedy police rn??
A lot of authority is based off illusion, I guess.
Yeah, thats my take too. Couple of talented kids trying to make a splash but their management team were horrific.
Oh, I think they are awesome - but the abusive faux-lesbian branding makes me feel a bit guilty enjoying it. Personal feelings only, tbh.
Tatu, All The Things She Said. Everything awful about Tatu but I can’t help but enjoy that song.
The far-left tells people how they should live and think. I’m a left-leaning pro-trans, pro-immigrant anarchist but as soon as you tell me I am obligated to abide by your ideals otherwise I’m a nazi, you can fuck right off.
Agreed. I think people need to understand that Musk isn’t a scientist, he’s just the money. The actual people working at SpaceX are doing great stuff.
The trick is to understand that left and right both lead to authoritarianism, and anarchism is to step off the spectrum and understand that the people must be free. The only authority you recognise should be one you consent to.

Technology@lemmy.world•YouTube's ad problem just got worse: Users now seeing 90-second unskippable ads!English
5·13 天前Lets all just collectively refuse to engage with or buy a product from any company that runs a 90 second unskippable add on youtube.
It was an absolute bunch of larp, thats for sure.
Slightly on-topic, but I went to the anarchist subreddit and they insisted that burning everything down and beating people up was the only point of anarchy. When I quoted Colin Ward, they didn’t know who that was and downvoted me for not understanding true anarchy.

Didn’t read lol
