  • So, the most important answer we have so far to your question is that this appears to have been a massive victory for Palestinian counter-intelligence. If they managed to plan, prepare, and execute this without Israel or any of the 5 Eyes seeing it, then it tells us something profoundly important.

There are second order implications if this is true. The most important second order implication is that if their counter-intelligence is truly that good, then they’re unlikely to have only used it to plan an initial strike. If your counter-intelligence is working that well, then it becomes possible to prepare and plan multiple moves into the future.

Another second order implication is that it is likely that Palestinian counter-intelligence did not develop on its own but instead with support from other actors. That would imply the existence of alliances that are providing some kind of support.

If both of those are true, then the second and third moves that are planned likely involve support from allies. That could be exit routes, it could be material support, it could be geopolitical support through diplomacy, sanctions, and threats.

A lot of this hinges on the assessment that Israeli and 5 Eyes intelligence failed here. If it did, then we are at the beginning of a longer unfolding of events and need to watch carefully to understand what’s going on because if the West failed in this way, the propaganda is going to focus on hiding this failure and its implications.

  • No one is pardoning crimes except those funding and supporting Israel. Israel has literally never been punished for its crimes. Palestine has been punished for its crimes 1000x over, they have also been punished for non-crimes, for talking, for praying, for procreating, for eating, for drinking, for sleeping, for compromising, for negotiating, for asking for help, for not asking for help, and for existing.

No one is saying that the crimes against innocent Israelis is the goal nor the method of liberation. But we are all more than willing to allow those crimes to occur in the process of liberating Palestine because despite the depravity of those crimes, they are still less depraved, less numerous, and less systematized than the crimes of Israel. We acknowledge that these sorts of crimes happen in all wars and have always happened in all wars for the last 2000 years or more. But that which perpetuates the state of the world, the state of the world where these crimes are committed by the dominant hegemons and their junior partners, is always going to be orders of magnitude worse than that which seeks to end this state of the world. It will always be preferable for violence to be used towards the aims of ending the North Atlantic dominance over the world than to use violence to perpetuate it. It will always be preferable to use violence to end capitalism then it will be to use violence to continue it.

The decades of violence against Palestinians is multiple times over more violent than anything Palestine could do to Israelis in the next year, even if they committed these crimes every day for a year, because a year is just not enough time to catch up to the amount of violence the Israelis have meted out to the Palestinians.

So, we mourn the suffering of all Innocents, but we cheer the cause of liberation, because we know that through this struggle, net violence will be reduced and the root causes of violence will be dealt a significant blow.

  • If you think this is an example of whataboutism, you’re braindead.

What was said was that Russia had committed genocide and this was the justification for the US-led transnational nuclear military of NATO to expand. The logic, of course, is that Europe needs the USA to protect it from genocidal countries like Russia. But the USA is more genocidal than Russia, so it becomes a problematic justification to say that the USA commits genocide more often, more violently, and more effectively but that’s preferable to Russia committing genocide less often, less violently, and less effectively.

Whataboutism is when the USA commits genocide and then everyone ignores it and says “What about Chechnya?”

  • You should stop using dictionaries to understand massively complex topics. Dictionaries are useful, but they are not authorities on how complex social systems work. Using dictionaries to support your argument in discussion like this signals you as unserious and unaware of your own unseriousness.

Mis/Miso is a prefix from Greek meaning hatred. Gyn is Greek for woman. So the word is literally hatred of women. Just like misanthropy is hatred of humans and misandry is hatred of men. However, one of these words also describes a massive social phenomenon that is structural and embedded in social systems including law, employment, art, literature, fashion, policing, war, advertising, incarceration, health care, politics, education, social norms, cultural traditions, etc. Want to guess which one of these 3 words that describes? Hint - the answer isn’t in the dictionary.

  • I love that you believe Russia equals danger. It’s just such a perfect snapshot of the brain rot of Western culture. There’s literally no ability to imagine a world where Russia is just a secure and developed country that collaborates with the world. It’s only possible that Russia is always evil. It’s such transparent propaganda for anyone in the world but somehow the “highly educated” white Americans and English just can’t see it.
