The pardon thing might just be a “find a scapegoat” scenario, in the Fidesz party that was a really popular solution to scandals. After the fact Magyar filed for divorce, left Fidesz and established his own party called Tisza(name of a hungarian river, abbreviated from “tisztelet és szabadság” meaning respect and freedom). Many politicians from Fidesz and many ousted Fidesz politicians went to Tisza. We can only hope they would do things differently but they are the only hope because the old opposition is a joke. Hungarian lore is just wild.

I sure hope they do. There is blatant unashamed influence from Russia and the US in our everyday politics. In the last years they don’t even try to hide it, Orban and his cronies just went full russian lapdog style in the last election cycle. It would be time the EU counters this with some pro eu talking points because you wouldn’t believe how much lies an average hungarian sees day to day. They are just straight up lying to your face and if you point out the lies you get called an Ukrainian spy or a traitor. Ukraine has millions of spies in the country apparently.
