  • The propaganda riddled mind… “he’s only going for the criminals my brother isn’t a criminal why was he grabbed off the street like he was?!.. yes i voted for Donald Trump… who is the one doing this”…

And still unable to make the connection. He voted for racism. Trump told him he was going to do this. What did he think “MASS DEPORTATION NOW” meant when he saw those signs at his rallies? Sounds like he thought they were “the good ones”. Clearly he’s not familiar with conservative nuance.

He is having the day he voted for. Maybe now that he has touched the hot stove he can consider that the lies he has been hearing about other peoples of color might be more similar to his brothers situation than “they are all criminals except for my brother.” I won’t hold my breath though.

Even his comments here show an irredeemable nature as I’m sure his idea of “criminals” follows the same conservative “unless they are in my in group any person of color is likely a criminal” bullshit that they just love to apply to the world. Like a reverse benefit of the doubt.

He can’t wait to call ICE on others but is surprised others see him and his brother as criminals through the same criminal lens. I feel no pity for this man, and only pity for the brother if he didn’t support this shit. Otherwise he’s just enjoying the fruits of his political endeavors and I definitely prefer when those consequences also fall on those who are not victimless themselves.

  • Did you know wage theft is the single greatest body of theft in the US? Larger than all other categories of theft combined. Like they are stealing so much of workers money its bananas. Wild to think about but a good table setter for the topic from my experience imo.

Heaven forbid you have the gall to entertain multiple offers. Just like they have entertained multiple applicants. Sometimes you get staggered offers and one ends up being a better offer later in the game. Are you required to go explain yourself to the lesser offering? Nah. If it’s earned sure. Otherwise fuck that.

“Sorry I got something better.” Sounds easy but these guys seem like vindictive shits that I’d argue are untrustworthy narrators. Absolutely possible the hiree sent a note but backing out at the last minute that was seen as an absolute betrayal to their seemingly mid offer… This reeks of their thinking they had a big one on the hook for cheap and they are mad it got away.

“Nothing personal it’s just business.” Is the typical unlubed response to the worker. I fail to see how these thin skinned twats deserve any better, especially with their response here. I’d argue this business deserves the treatment hiring such liabilities in their HR department are clearly bringing them by not dealing with this behavior. Job security for the lawyers I guess.

I understand your point, we should all generally try to be good and respectful to each other. My point is with the imbalance of power in the hiring orocess, propensity for fake interviews we know businesses use, AI use in the interview process, and general lack of respect for the candidates in the pool are all reasons i think you are holding yourself to a standard they refuse. All of these are just the tip of the iceberg of shit in getting a job.

HR and hiring reps do not generally deserve the courtesy unless it’s been earned by being exemplary in demonstrated respect and such diring the process. Because for every instance of this, they’ve likely abused many more people doing similar things to them without blinking an eye. This is just manipulation.

  • Two things can be true at once.

Republicans can be traitorous shitbags AND Democrats can consistently play spoiler and controlled opposition only showing their colors when they have to. It’s not every Democrat, but the wealthy and foreign interests like AIPAC buy Democrats just as well as Republicans. Why do you think Chuck Schumer keeps rambling on about how his main job is supporting Israel? While they are blatantly committing a genocide and attacking many of their neighbors as a belligerant state… nothing to see here… better pony up more cash to them… Main concern nothing else going on right now… You’d think in a national crisis as a leader of an opposition party that opposing the other party would be the main goal. Nope not a concern just need to make it look like they are opposing while making sure Israel keeps getting our tax dollars.

Haven’t you noticed every time there is a critical vote Democrats will act tough and then oh gosh look its the rogue dems again to help Republicans along… Like the budget battle a couple months ago where the exact number of 8 Democrats needed to give Republicans enough votes to push their treacherous “Big Beautiful Bill” though suddenly materialized… and then when pressed a few of them said oh yeah no biggie we worked with Chuck and had the blessing… only safe votes i.e. people not up for reelection any time soon. How convenient… Remember that vote gave ICE the budget to rival branches of the military? Would have been a good time to make a stand huh? Not to even mention the healthcare subsidies or the fact that that was 40 days into a shutdown and dems rolled over when they were in the right.

Now we’re getting ready for a Kamala 2028 run that absolutely nobody is asking for, because in my opinion, the party leadership are overall fine with Trumps actions and even happier Republicans are getting the heat for it so why would they want to take power? Their masters are the same masters as Republicans… Same logic to why they scuttled Bernies run to favor Hillary paving the way for Trumps first term. The wealthy do not want a progressive anywhere near the presidency and risk actual consequences to their actions or being able to treat our democracy as their personal feifdoms and destroying it for their personal gain.

We have two right wing parties in America. There really is no true left when it comes to viable political parties, and that’s by design. The ever revolving choices between a turd sandwich and a shit sandwich. It’s why the government no matter who is in charge does their damndest to prevent ranked choice voting. Would makes it a lot harder to ensure its turd vs shit sandwich and without it, ensures we the people never make meaningful gains, and pretty much nothing compared to the wealthy that own both parties.

So yeah don’t ignore reality that it’s an issue with both parties. Republicans are absolutely worse from a public perception and the impact of their actions, but Democratic leadership and a collective of Reps are moving in the shadows to help the Republican agenda from what I’ve seen. And beyond that don’t forget that both parties are captured by monied interests and are functionally the right and left hands for the ultra wealthy and foreign interests that bought them. Thanks Citizens United…

  • I generally agree “both sides” is a shitty argument, but thinking democrats are going to save us is naive. Time and again they have shown us who bought their vote, while ignoring those who voted for them. They will happily take your money and smile while mitigating any real impact you could have on the status quo.

The reality is both parties are beholden to their wealthy donors over the needs of the average American.

The right exists to ratchet us to the right toward fascism, and the corporate Democrats are there to make sure things don’t shift too far left when Republicans lose power. Notice how democrats stopped taking about universal Healthcare and spent 0 air time talking about the needs of the average American in the 2024 election? Much easier to push the most regressive antiimmigration legislation they’ve ever pushed, basically giving Republicans the groundwork for the shit we see today. I say democrats but it’s not Progressives that run the party, money backs the corporate Dems.

Money has poisoned our political system and until we do away with money in elections we will have a broken system that serves only those with lots of money.
