Test drive at dealership is definitely the way to go. I tested the salespersons loaner car, the m340i. I was driving it conservatively but he said NO, drive it hard and encouraged me to floor it and take a turn at high speed. I was sold after I did that, lol.
I bought an x3m40i about 3 months after that. Great experience honestly.
I’d recommend going on bmws website and configuring a model you’d enjoy first, particularly so you understand the price and monthly payments. If you can afford it, then go for it and test drive.
