I’m sure the news has been broken by many other people in the same time group as me, but US 512 model ordered at around 20 minutes after launch is in packaging.

I’ve got the 256 model original plus a 512gb microSD card and it’s not bad. I do run out of space, but it’s also super easy to just delete something and redownload something else and I’m not on metered internet.
512 + 512, or if I upgrade to a 1tb microsd and I think I’ll be pretty good.
What the hell is the wait list.
A tip for those trying to get one today - do NOT mash the purchase button if the traffic stops you - it will screw you.
For the OG Steam Deck, I had it up in two browsers and when I finally got it into my cart, I kept on reloading and hit purchase because of that initial hiccup. Put my (nineteen year) account on temporary purchase lockout for a full hour for “suspicious activity”.
Maybe they’ve fixed the issue this time around, but I’d rather not test it.
For real, especially compared to the first launch. They either had fewer sales or were way more prepared for the purchases this time around. Probably helps that the supply chain issues caused by COVID have mostly figured themselves out.
For the OG, I didn’t get it until months later - April of the following year. This one’s going to get to me this week.
