That’s fair. I’m more annoyed about White stopping completely, and didn’t close Willock down immediately despite Jorginho screaming at home to do so.

That and how Raya flopped and completely missed the ball. Any one of those variables change and they probably don’t score.

I still don’t understand this whole clear and obvious error requirement. If the ref misses something, then VAR should intervene and inform the referee to relook at the incident. If he deems his original decision correct, then we move on.

The fact that it’s an error but VAR doesn’t see it as clear and obvious and opts not to direct the ref to the monitor is so weird.

What’s crazy about that challenge is that the ball has already been passed by Jorgi, and Bruno comes up behind him and so obviously raises his elbow at his head. This happened not 5 seconds after he went in two footed on White and missed.
