On my GT3, insurance was $750/day until I got an annual policy. Fuel about $100/day. Tires about $200/day. I didn’t track the cost of other consumables like fluids or pads. Hotel, food, and fuel getting to and from the event $350/day.
Personally, I prefer having my own car to HPDE to have the flexibility of doing it when and as often as I want. It’s not as luxurious as an experience as the PEC, but I can do it more frequently on tracks local to me. I regularly get professional coaching at events.
