iX M60. More speed and more useful. Sure it doesn’t have the cool anti roll tech but it does have a bit more range. Also the B&W stereo in the iX may be the best car stereo made at that time.

Roadside provided by the manufacturer usually wants to take you to the nearest dealership. Example: I had a flat on my BMW which was covered by their roadside. To go to their dealership. I saved $$$ by having AAA take me to the tire place I like instead. (no spare tire, flat such that the fix a flat can they give you instead was useless)
I love a great manual, and I love a great automatic (the F90 was sublime in its implementation), and I don’t miss gears at all (F/R doesn’t count) in the iX.
Having had a '00 Honda S2000, I think it was both the best (Angeles Crest hello) and worst (Los Angeles traffic) and I would not have had it any other way.
If he likes it and can afford it then it is precisely the right car for him. BMW has laser focused onto an ideal buyer for this car. For that person this car is absolute perfection. For anyone else it is the wrong car. For most people in this sub, all but literally a handful, it is the wrong car. But if he wants it and can afford it then yes go for it and love it.
