From what I understand, freight trains in the US are also paid in terms of tonnage per train. This incentivises slapping on as many carts with product as possible, even as speed suffers under the strain of all that weight. Considering that all single tracks require meeting trains to stop and wait for these super long, super slow freight trains, passenger traffic get a lot of increased travel time.

I would assume they do. When companies have these free deals, then the intermediary/store hosting the deal will be the party who pays for the claimed copies. As such it is technically copies sold, even though the price is not necessarly the current full price that consumer would pay in another store

Imo top quoting, where the reply is added to the bottom of for example an email, is far superior to bottom quoting, where the reply is on top.
With top quoting you can read the entire thread/discourse in order by reading the latest email top to bottom, instead of scrolling up and down.
However, since most people and email clients default to bottom quoting, I’ll have to stick to that. The only thing worse than bottom quoting is inconsistent quoting.
