  • That 2nd monitor window thing sounds like a DPI scaling issue, especially if your main screen has different scaling than the one causing issues. I get this a lot at work because of my setup and the software I use (on windows btw) and I got so used to manually moving the window and smashing it against the top of the screen to maximize it that I don’t really mind. But maybe the term can help you troubleshoot it further

  • Maybe my taste buds aren’t refined but I can’t tell the difference

There is practically no difference unless you fully defreeze it in a microwave which will usually make it feel soggy. However you can get it mostly defrosted in the microwave, and finish the job in an oven, and it will basically feel like fresh bread

  • “Vous” is the first one that comes to mind in french. But since it is also a more formal (and/or “respectful”) version of “tu/toi”, it can both designate a group of people or a single person, depending on the context (just like “you” in English). Sometimes people will use “vous tous” (literally “you all”) to make this clear.

It is a little better than the “you” situation in English since if you are speaking with someone that is not using the singular form of “vous” to speak about you (which is basically anyone you are familiar with unless they are your boss or In-laws and kind of oldschool), it is instantly clear what they mean at least.
