I was always a PC gamer and a big fan of portable gaming so I own now about 8-9 years old gaming laptop (when was GTX980m released?) and also Nintendo handhelds.
Deck was announced in a perfect time when I was beginning to think about laptop upgrade so I bought the deck instead. Funnily, my old laptop can still run the games a bit better but Deck is just more comfy.
I still think of a laptop upgrade mostly because I’d also like to get into VR gaming but as a fan of portable gaming I’m satisfied with the Deck performance for now.
People when they have to tinker on Linux: Wow, I love Steam Deck, all the tinkering makes me feel like Neo from Metrix, I don’t even play games anymore.
People when they have to tinke on Windows: F*ing piece of st. I’m returning this immediately.
