Didn’t know this was a thing either. Interesting. Excited to watch the video that I presume is summarizing all this drama.

RPGMemes @ttrpg.network•The sheer number of options is the best thing about Pathfinder. It's also the worst.
0·9 months agoHaha we used to live for that shit in the days of 3e/3.5
EDIT: I see now you thought they meant Pathfinder 1e, which explains it. Since that’s basically the same as 3.5 but better lol.
The USSR had to deal with a civil war, rising up during WWI and being sabotaged by the Germans, more civil war, foreign meddling, and all while being the first successful communist revolution. Yet they still managed to raise literacy, raise health outcomes, raise average life expectancy, gender equality, science and technology, end the cycle of famines (after the first one or two they had when they were still building up), had faster growth during that period than any capitalist country (except maybe the US, which was doing imperialism at the time and the biggest hegemon), all while helping sustain other socialist countries, like Cuba, Venezuela, or North Korea.
Ya I think he’s said something about replacing that advice with node-based adventure design or something, but this article by itself has helped me improve tons of mystery scenarios by itself that I think the advice works as is.

Same. The monsters are amazing, and would be a big boost to 5e, but I haven’t been playing it as much lately.

0·2 years agoI thought the EU has been pretty good on privacy so far. Of course the US is trying to duck it up.
Ya but there’s too much. Now we have games getting out half-finished because they know they can patch it later after the public pays full price too beta test it.

0·2 years agoI’ve never played Blades in the Dark, but maybe this will be a good introduction to it at least with a different setting.

D&D Next - 5e Discussion@ttrpg.network•[OneD&D] Bastions and Cantrips UA
0·3 years agoSounds like they’re trying to get into the area that a lot of third parties have taken with Bastions, like the Strongholds & Followers book that MCDM already published or Walrock’s stronghold’s homebrew on DM’s guild. Probably a good idea for people who don’t use third-party material but seems too late and unnecessary for me now lol.
It might be a good combination, though, since it does look a little similar to me like a combination of those two systems. This makes sense since I think Matt Colville said he adopted systems and stuff that had been in past D&D versions, so it makes sense an official variant would have some similarities. I’ll probably just use this as more options with Strongholds and Followers, which has been working for me so far.
As for the cantrip changes, nothing much to say except I love them all.

Finally! It makes so much sense. Glad they’re giving up and just accepting it because I’ve been calling it that personally for awhile lol.
