I’ve gone out a handful of times since this post. Still have caught nothing. Haven’t even had anything on my line. This is all fine by me - I’m new to freshwater fishing and it’s a great time to just sit back and feed fish lol.
But, along my journey, I’ve picked up two useful resources:
Georgia’s Department of Wildlife has an app to review a lot of information on fishing, hunting, etc. The app isn’t perfect, but offers lots of handy information.

Fishbrain app is pretty cool and more refined to show you what fellow anglers in your area are catching, recommending, boasting about and more. Although it’s good, they sell (hard) their subscription model to the service. I understand, but doesn’t change the fact it’s annoying and I don’t fish that often.
