I very much appreciate you checking for me.
If you use scented laundry products I hope your house burns to the foundation. It’s fuckin hot and I can’t open my window you piece of shit.

Is grayjay still dark theme only?
Nearly all channels I follow are on YouTube and no where else. To make YT less of a privacy issue, I use frontends. PipePipe on Android and Freetube on Linux.

Pebble Mouse 2 M350s from Logitech. Silent clicks and works on three devices. Bluetooth pairing, no dongle. Low cost as well. It’s also very small if packing it for travel is necessary.
I went for a three device mouse due to an elbow injury. I can be watching a video on my laptop and playing sudoku on my tablet without having to bend my elbow for long periods of time.
RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Tell me about when a stranger was kind to you1·13 days agoWho is going to pay my bills if I’m protesting instead of working?
I could go to one protest on my day off but why should it be a First Nations cause? And which First Nations cause should it be? Land rights? Fishing? Names of streets, statues, and building? Residential Schools? All worth causes that should be fixed.
There are civil rights, environment, anti-police, Gaza and privacy issues just to name a few. Everyone has their own cause they want to change.
Maybe you don’t see many people protesting because there are so many different causes (only a small number per protest) and most people are just getting by with no time left.

RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the solution to the current world problems?2·15 days agoHugh Segal, Canadian Senator was in charge of a UBI study many years ago. He stated that if all of our government handouts, over 60 at the time, were replaced by a UBI the country would save several billion dollars.
I’ll try to find that study.

RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it just me, or does crime documentaries have a biased "pro-cop" vibe to it?61·16 days agoSure, cop shows are like that as well. They are so unrealistic.
RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the solution to the current world problems?72·16 days agoReplace all the social services your country has with a guaranteed basic income. Everyone gets it and it doesn’t run out like unemployment benefits. Another benefit, unlike welfare, is the person can keep working.

RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone truly think times are better now than 30 years ago? (US)41·16 days agoWhat about people’s overall health? Two years isn’t much but if a person’s last ten years is lived with less pain and more mobility that is something.
RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone truly think times are better now than 30 years ago? (US)1173·17 days agoMedical technology has greatly improved. More people survive cancer, aids, surgery is far less invasive, and better medications.
Technology in general is getting better.
We have a faster internet. I love having access to so much information. Sure, there are far more gullible fools who believe in all manner of silly stuff but I feel the internet has done more good than bad.

RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you ever had a thought that was *so dumb* that it actually made you sick to your stomach when you realized just how dumb it was?33·19 days agoNo, but I have done and said stuff that gives me an intense feeling of embarrassment when I recall the event.
RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why do people on Lemmy seem to be without personality, aka human touch?2·19 days agoSounds like something a bot would ask.😄
RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you believe that the people should be able to have guns to protect themselves, or should the police have the sole authority to own and posess guns to protect the people?1·20 days ago100% agree. This morning I was thinking about a reply (didn’t have time before leaving for work) along these lines. But more of reporting to any nearby active shooter situation and helping the cops in exchange for a free gun and training. I like your idea as well.
