I truly believe the EV boom that began in 2020 was because of Covid. You had nowhere to go anyways so charging and driving distance wasn’t really thought of too much. Well now that everything is back to normal again commuting wise, the shortcomings of EVs are much more apparent
Hybrids allow for carbon cutting now without infrastructure change. And it doesn’t matter what your living situation is.
At the end of the day it must be nice to own a home that you can plug your car in every night like plugging in your phone before going to bed. Good for you, you’re lucky. Us who have to park on the street don’t have that option
To be honest I’m no longer excited for the CX-70. Mazda has said it’s literally going to have the same dimensions as the CX-90. It’s just a 2 row CX-90. Complete waste of time
I bought my 2016 3 in 2018 as a CPO that had an accident. Under Mazdas CPO guidelines if it was in an accident it means no airbags deployed and it cannot have been towed away from the scene. So basically just got bumped into in traffic. Have had zero issues with mine 5 years later. Zero lights on the dashboard and only done tires brakes and oil! Just passed 100,000 miles last month!
IIRC, Toyota has said their solid state battery will be going into a hybrid first. Not sure if regular or plug in though
