No because every manager before him has been in the exact same spot he is now, that said he is also not blameless. My main issue at the moment with him is how he’s not changing anything, the wolves game despite a fortuitous win showed early doors how easily our midfield could be sliced through & we have not changed that every game we get cut open, Almirons goal comes from the fucking right back strolling through our midfield unchallenged last night. At the moment we also have no distinct style of play, Newcastles second string came out and played how their first team would & that’s how it needs to be to progress. I am 100% behind him but he needs to change tactics, formation etc. or at least develop a style to show he’s working on something. I would actually take a 10th place finish if he implements a way of playing like he did at Ajax and just backs it to work in the long run and tells the players to get fucked , a this is how it’s being done if you don’t want to do it then fuck off attitude.
Van De Beek as well! He’s become a bit of a meme now but at Ajax he was fucking brilliant to watch! United fan so still hoping it happens for him but it doesn’t look likely, I hope he gets a move maybe even back to Ajax and recovers his form from that season because he was excellent.
