Varies dealer to dealer. My local one doesn’t charge a dime over MSRP on orders, but I know there are dealers elsewhere that probably do. If one does, just go elsewhere.

That said, when you order one thru a dealership, you should get a price sheet at the time you order with everything spelled out pricewise clear as crystal. Once signed, you’re locked in on the price.

I learned on an automatic and didn’t actually learn to drive a stick until later. After that, my next couple cars were manuals until I bought my truck in '16. Manual wasn’t even an option at the trim level I wanted, so I ‘came back’

Honestly, while driving a manual can be fun from time to time, I doubt I’ll ever own one again outside of winning the lottery and having a multicar garage with multiple ‘for fun’ cars. Even when I have my pre-planned Midlife crisis and buy a 911, it’ll be an automatic.

I’m generally not after purity…just pleasure.

M3 has it as an option.
