Fo with the ROG Ally. The Steam Deck is better in every way, but if you would prefer to run Windows you should go with the Ally.
I wouldn’t spend money on hardware just to switch the OS to something worse. Buy one of the crappy windows handhelds instead.
There’s nothing better than the Steam Deck OLED. It is a better os than Windows and kills the alternatives for battery life and screen.
If you’re going to be playing near a power outlet, go with the laptop. If you’re going to be playing mostly on battery power go with deck.
Go for the quality.
I have a thing where I only buy games that are more than a year old. I also listen to game podcasts from a year ago. I’m kind of living a year in the past in gaming but it is better than ever. Games are on sale for 30%-70% of the launch price, all DLC included (sometimes) and the broken parts are fixed.
