@Reshirams_Rad_Slam @nostupidquestions this would be possible if someone made a platform that implemented the same APIs for both mastodon and lemmy, but would fail if there was a platform they didn’t implement say Loops and you tried to log into their app. A few fedi microblogging platforms like Plemora already implement Mastodon’s api to allow using the Masto apps with their instances for free.

Federated identity is something being worked on, but will be likely be seperate to AP itself.

@CoffeeAddict yeah I agree its in Dems best interest to get a deal with Johnson assuming the GOP doesn’t implode further. Ukraine Aid, allowing the Biden inquiry to end, some bipartisan border bill, a return to higher count needed to recall rule, and some sort of rest of year bipartisan budget keep the lights on bill would be great for everyone.

@CoffeeAddict I really hope he gets the boot next election cycle for being so anti-military. There are plenty of other republicans in Alabama that should be favorable enough on other GOP viewpoints that could primary him, or if we get really good luck, a moderate dem win?

@CoffeeAddict that being said, I think Israel being a mess will make mil spend increase bill more likely to pass than when it was mostly for Ukraine.

@CoffeeAddict all I’m sure of is that congress is going to continue being a mess through the next funding bill date. My money is (unfortunately for the lives this will directly put in danger) on another CR without Ukraine or Israel funding unless we can get a deal to add both.
