RB: Dani Alves - Scummy human being, sure. but as a player, he’s entertaining as hell to watch. those combinations with Leo, whew.
RCB: Kompany - class player all around, impeccable leader as well
LCB: Van Dijk - his 18/19 season is probably the greatest defender ive ever seen, he was an absolute impenetrable WALL.
LB: Ashley Cole - as a Gooner, im supposed to hate him, but as a player, easily my most favorite LB ever. He was such an electric on the left side, a big component of the Invincibles
CDM: Busquets - Have you ever seen anyone more composed on the ball?
LCM: Santi Cazorla - one of those i can truly say they were born to play football. not the fastest, not the strongest, not the tallest, but MAN, when the ball is on his feet, it was truly a joy to watch. left foot? right foot? dont matter.
RCM: Patrick Vieira - My captain! He was a physical specimen with a warrior spirit, his duel with Keano remains my favorite battle in EPL history. Extremely technical too
RW: Lionel Messi - What more can you say about this little man? My GOAT.
ST: Thierry Henry - A striker like no other. He had everything: pace, power, skill, intelligence, and a goalscoring instinct that was second to none. The player that made me support Arsenal
LW: Ronaldinho - The Mike Tyson of football; prime doesn’t last long, but it was truly MAGICAL.
Spain losing the first game in the 2010 WC to switzerland and went on to win the whole thing is the first thing that came to my mind. Also Conte’s Chelsea were in the bottom half 10 games in and went on to win the league in the 16/17 season.
