It’s very easy to make a mechanical clone of the game if someone wanted to play it.
This is purely about greedy crypto bros trying to grift off of Flappy Bird and using legal loopholes to steal the trademark
I think this is the patent IBM is suing over
Seems to be about pre-loading ads to a user’s device. As with most software patents, it sounds like the vaguest possible wording that covers about a million things
Forgot about the Duskmourn Commander decks
That art/flavor text on Putrefy is really terrifying
Gotta be an Annihilation reference, right?
I think it’s an afro silhouetted by the window behind him?
Probably just nostalgia from The World Ends with You but I love seeing games set in Shibuya
So looking at some quick and dirty math, if you have ~40 enchantments in your deck you’ll have about a 98% chance of getting 1+ off her first ability, 85% for 2+, 59% for 3+, then 28% for 4+, and under 10% for 5+
Definitely seems good, especially if you can blink her. The tap ability is cute with how she’s basically the only one who can wander Duskmourn without issues, and it can definitely cheat some rooms open, but it seems a lot more niche.
Neat! Funny to think of the controversy this caused back in 1994
It being colorless and coming with a body attached probably means they costed it to for Limited
Man, what a mess. This site was doomed to fail
Does also leave the chance of getting blown out by a counterspell though
Yeah, as much as I like the mechanics of Rooms it feels like some of them aren’t as creatively flavored as they could be
I have to say, the more I see of the Beasties the more I love them. They have the feel of a creepier “Where the Wild Things Are” monster
Played this years ago but couldn’t quite get into it. Maybe I should try it again to see if it clicks
Black and White is free but color TV costs extra
Also one more thing I noticed about the art, he has very “normal guy in robes” kinda feel to him. Sort of fits the modern horror vibe where the most terrifying people can look entirely inconspicuous on the outside
That is some gorgeous pixel art
