The 2.5 was bored out just a little too much. Cylinder walls between too hot, and when they’re not supported from behind, they crack

I know Ford used it in one of the focuses, but not familiar with which one. Volvo dropped it in a sedan and wagon and affixed an AWD system they’re certified sleepers.
Volvo B5254T4.
2.5 i5 turbo 300hp, 300 torque and a noise that soothes the soul. A few shims in the coolant passages and stronger head studs she’s good to push over 500. I want to build one and put it in a Volvo 240.
Also, the red block from the 240 is another fantastic motor. Derived from diesel tractor motor, they’re built to withstand the apocalypse, and live to see the new world
Mazda rx8. I love the look, and I can make custom body panels to make it look even better (I had a 6 month autistic stint of photoshopping, planning, pricing, and resourcing rx8s). But the renesis motor is impossible to make power out of without custom irons and housings, and that’s something I don’t ever plan on venturing into. Love the idea of a track focused rx8, hate the reality of it.
