Trying to mount an iso image in the terminal and accidentally un-mounting your root drive.
Totally didn’t do that before…nope not even once, definitely not twice >.>

I’ve been told if you see a censored meme it’s probably because someone took it from facebook.
I dunno what’s going on with the moderation over there as I deleted my account nearly a decade ago, back when getting full gore popping up in your feed wasn’t uncommon…
A lot of newer big “gamer” brand peripherals are coming bundled with proprietary software you gotta run to get full functionality.
A friend of mine recently tried Linux and had his scroll wheel not work because it was tired to the software on Windows for some stupid reason…
I saw this trend starting nearly a decade ago when Razers software bricked my Win7 PC by booting before the login screen, I’ve avoided any devices with mandatory software since, but seems the issue has only grown lately.
I dunno if the Hub software works but I do have a Seagate OneTouch portable 4TB drive and it worked without issues on Linux after reformatting like I would any other drive.
Clonezilla Is what I normally use for cloning drives, including my boot drive. You flash it to a USB drive then.
Maybe look up a Youtube guide first but I’ve never had issues with it.
Not only that but the physical phones themselves are dumping features while charging the same or often increased prices…
My current phones literally being held together with tape but wanting a current phone with an SD card and headphone jack has seriously limited my options.
I’m sure they probably could but they don’t really have the incentive to add support for them.
I’m an older GenZ born in the late 90s and I’ve had to show a few younger peers how to torrent recently.
The idea of you needing a “special” program just for downloading a file seems to throw some of them off.
I do know a few young people are tech/programming wizards but “generally tech savy” people seem to be declining. It’s either you’re really into it or barely know anything outside popular apps.
One other thing I’ve noticed, People just seem to be more paranoid about downloading stuff not already installed on their devices. Which its good people give at least a bit of a shit about security but convincing people Firefox isn’t a virus gets a bit annoying (Yes I’ve had that conversation).
Growing up in the 2000s a friend of mine got a bike with fake suspension. It was just plastic coverings on the front forks made to look like springs.
I got a soft spot for stupid gimmicks on childrens products I fell for most of them lmao.
You Linux users sure are a contentious people.
It’s kinda weird I could understand the habit a decade or two ago when computers were still mainly using harddrives and some were just…slow hunks of junk.
But the majority of my peers I know who keep their PCs on for weeks or months at a time, All run at least a Sata SSD for the boot drive.
This project has been around for a good while for multiple platforms. I used to play it on a jailbroken PSP!
Think last time I played it someone uploaded a version of it to my colleges shared network drive, Will have to try it again. :)
I use the same earphones I use on my phone, I would prefer to use overear headphones but the only ones I own require a dedicated amp to drive and I hate having dongles hanging off my stuff…
Read some random comment saying he got a “trad wife” and basically quit the internet.
Last post on his website seem to be from Feb 2023.
Nah they only sell monitor stands that “cheap”.
Ladybird is slowly being worked on but I doubt we’ll see people daily driving it for a few years yet.
I wouldn’t worry too much about Mozilla when it comes to Firefox at least. As long as they keep up with the backend then forks can clean the crud off.
You would hope so but some chromium forks still try maintain their own ad blockers. And I’ve seen people just jump between what ones still work, or those few who just give up on ad-blocking all together.
Yeah I wasn’t expecting to make most of the money back, But if I can get a bit then it’s still money towards something I will use.
Selling it to try make some money back.
I built this PC before I even thought about switching to Linux.
I owned a white original model PSP and that thing never looked clean after the first week no matter what I did.
Honestly people who go all white on everything kinda terrify me…
