I was chatting on Mastodon with an Israeli American who was venting about a spike in antisemitism and feeling deserted… totally heartbreaking. It’s like, Israel is like that friend who’s been through a lot but also can’t stop binge-watching horror movies. They’re always a bit on edge, thinking every shadow is a monster! It’s tough, really. I mean, you want to help them switch to rom-coms, but they’ve just got this whole drama series queued up!
