I’m guessing that’s because, like me, they’ve given up on anything in “Fuck Cars” being a reasonable discussion. I commented to provide a balanced perspective on the situation, rather than just shake my fist at the stupid driver. Guess I should have known not to bother here. I don’t bother arguing with folks on the internet, so this’ll likely be my last post here. Enjoy your echo chamber.
Good? Where did I leave the “Well, anyway” meme…
I don’t have a dog in this race, so not really complaining about anything. I’m just pointing out that regardless of what’s legal, this is a failure of both safety and courtesy. Slower traffic stay to one side, let others go by.
The WHOLE conflict here is caused by entitlement. The cyclists think they are entitled to the whole road, through force of numbers, herd mentality, or whatever. The car feels entitled to drive how ever fast he wants and safety be damned. The car is obviously MORE in the wrong, but the whole situation could have been avoided.
That driver is obviously an idiot that needs his license revoked.
That said, as a fellow cyclist, you all need to do better as well. For this large an event, there should either be a road closure, or break it up into flights. If those aren’t feasible, restrict yourselves to one lane instead of taking up both. Not excusing the drivers carelessness at all, but judging from your reaction to other comments here, your ride group’s sense of entitlement is a problem as well.
looks like Schwalbe makes some MTB ones. not sure what size you’re looking for.
Brotato. Ummm, I think I’m in trouble…
My first thought was the Babylon 5 slaver gloves. I mean they’re already the villains. might as well go full evil.
Saw this awhile back and kinda rolled my eyes. I see the appeal of the idea, but the execution seems unnecessarily complicated for little gain. The space one is even worse, the sheer amount of fuel to lift that kind of weight is just a stupid waste.
::golf clap::
Agrees to the first sentiment, BS on the second. Don’t accuse people of things unless you can prove it. Or at least provide more than your gut feeling because “you can tell from the pixels”.
You be whomever you need to be. 👍
I feel seen, very specifically.

I pick up a bunch of on sale the next week and they’re still sitting in the fridge a week later. But now the eggs are all gone. ::eyeroll::
Folks like me love Steam because I have a huge backlog, and don’t care if I play the latest thing as soon as it comes out. Combine that with their sales every few months let me pick up older games at a steep discount, without having to deal with a Gamestop.
::eyeroll:: 71% percent of people we asked an obvious leading question, but mostly already buy their games online and will mindlessly buy all their yearly copies of FIFA, Maden, and CoD regardless.
I mean, I hate Sony and this BS too, but the stink over this “change” is complaining about a horse that left the stable years ago.
Seriously! I think he beat the cancer unconscious with his bare hands.
seriously, no one has answered “a quarter horse” yet? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Quarter_Horse

Hmm, she makes one comment about the town being poor and provincial, a couple about wanting more out of life, and then the rest of it is the towns folk saying she’s “pretty but weird” and Gaston saying “she’s mine.”
I think this analysis stinks.
So… A normal Patch Tuesday?
