As I said, LibreOffice can’t be used instead of MS365 unless you want to lose 95% of the features of 365.

It’s not “corporate greed”. If companies have to make every device of theirs “open source” essentially, and have to make ways for their competitors to be able to run their stuff on the device, and allow people to remove all their companies stuff from their devices, guess what? No one will make devices anymore.
If you don’t like what Apple do, don’t buy Apple devices. You’re not entitled to anything other than the device doing what it says on the box. You do not own the software on it, nor are you entitled to have them give you the keys to their kingdom.
It’s not “corporate shilling” to explain basic concepts around business and how the world works. I didn’t like what Google were doing a few years back so I made the decision to switch to an iPhone and stopped using pretty much all Google services. I voted with my wallet, like you can and should.
You really can’t. With Bluetooth earbuds you absolutely can’t. With car speakers you’re not fooling anyone.
They didn’t donate all of that to that fund. They’ve donated hundreds of millions/billions to many other charities and causes that they don’t run. The money that they do donate to that fund does get used to help humanity. If you’re going to claim that it just goes back to line their own pockets, can you provide evidence of this?

1·3 hours ago“Genocidal acts” doesn’t mean that a genocide is happening. “Destruction of civilian infrastructure” is an “act of genocide”. That happens in almost every conflict in the world, and not every one is a genocide.
A genocide is a specific thing. For me to be convinced that there is a genocide happening, specific things need to happen and with a specific intent - and those things aren’t happening in Gaza. Hamas want a genocide. They’re very open about this. Israel are trying to eliminate Hamas. If Hamas surrendered, the killing would stop.
Unfortunately in war there are casualties. Casualties will be increased when one of the parties at war - Hamas - use civilians, including kids, as “meat shields”, like putting their military bases in schools and hospitals as Hamas has been factually proven to do. Hamas have been caught faking civilian deaths and casualty numbers too, and they’re an internationally recognised terrorist organisation - they are not to be trusted, no matter what you think of Israel. Again - Hamas openly call for the genocide of Jews and Israelis. Very openly.
A question for you - if you were to agree that Israel are doing what they are doing in retaliation to what Hamas did on October 7, and will not stop until Hamas are defeated, would you still consider that a genocide? If Hamas surrendered and Israel stopped killing Palestinians, would you still say it was a genocide?
Another question - are you open to reconsidering your views? Or are you steadfast in them but expect me to consider changing mine?

It does change that fact, because again - they’re forced to by law. There’s no wiggle room. Had they chosen to defy them and take them to court, Microsoft probably would have been forced to cease trading in the USA or something equally as company destroying.
Your data and email isn’t ever “safe” unless you’re hosting every single part of it yourself, and even then - if the government orders you to do something, you’ll fold like origami when faced with the alternative. Microsoft aren’t in the business of deciding who is and isn’t “tyrannical”. They are in the business of following legal orders and staying in business though.
You’re saying that Spotify don’t have employee moderators for uploaded podcasts, which they do. In this era of every person thinking they’re an influencer and everyone needs to hear what they say, the issue is that likely no matter how many they have, the number of episodes that get uploaded will always dwarf them, so they rely on their auto-moderators to find the most egregious rule breakers. They can’t catch everything there though. If a customer finds a rule breaker and reports it, they’ll take action - that’s good!
The alternative is that every single episode of every single podcast has to be manually reviewed and approved before it goes live, which is not feasible.

The number of people with the audio equipment needed to even notice a difference with lossless audio is a rounding error, especially on their phones using their AirPods/galaxy buds.
I don’t get the anger or outrage or even mild concern here? Spotify lets people upload their podcasts and music. People abuse that.
Spotify didn’t do anything wrong, the people uploading this crap disguised as podcasts did. Spotify removed them when they found them.

Bill gates has already given away tens of billions of dollars. There’s no reason to believe he won’t give away the whole lot.
You can try to do all that, sure - but Apple don’t have to enable you to do it, and they damn sure well don’t have to write software specifically so you can do it.
It’s your hardware, but you bought it with any restrictions they put on it and you’re under no entitlement for them to remove them.
It’s not an office suite subscription. It’s basically a complete business productivity solution. M365 != Office. By your post it’s clear that you don’t understand the difference. The MFA for example is organisation wide, not for excel or word lol
M365 includes office, but it’s not just office. Office is one of the least important parts of it tbh. This is evident by the fact that some tiers don’t even include office.
It’s clear that most people in here bashing Microsoft over this don’t even know what M365 is and have never been in charge of any decision making for anything IT related in even a small business.
Entra for 10 people is unnecessary.
What windows license? The ones that every computer comes with already?
Somehow I don’t think any charities with less than 10 employees were doing that, so nothing changes.
